Before becoming a photographer, I worked as cook and then Marketing Director for James Beard award-winning chef Tom Douglas, learning the guts of a kitchen as well as the front of the house. My work reflects that knowledge, as I bring to every shoot an innate understanding of the mechanics of a restaurant. I capture the visual poetry that appears nightly in these frenetic, creative and collaborative atmospheres – because it feels like home.

I spent my childhood by my moms side in the kitchen, absorbing her classic cooking style as well as her steadfast belief that its important to make it nice."  She packed me off to college with a deep love of food, a vintage melon baller, and a set of green Fiesta Ware that my family still eats off of daily.
